Banyan Fruit & Vetiver

The first time I wore this scent, I knew I had another winner. Fans of our Black Vetyver Cafe will love this because the lighter, fruity notes of Banyan Fruit make it a very summery fragrance. The Vetiver is a fantastic anchor that really makes this scent last, and the Banyan Fruit is juicy & fresh -- not at all cloying or overly sweet. Unique & very clean.

From our perfumer: "The very large, spreading Banyan is a member of the Fig family. A very useful shade tree throughout South Asia; older trees can reach more than 600 feet in diameter, and towering to a height of 90 ft. The Banyan Fruits are orange-red turning scarlet when ripe. With few stalks, they grow very close to the branches. Ripe fruits are very popular with birds and monkeys and are eaten by humans in times of famine.

A very unusual scent, it is at once luscious and earthy, etheral and fruity...but so haunting. The fruit and floral accord dramatically mellows the Vetiver base note; it is neither too acrid nor overly sweet. Banyan Fruit & Vetiver™ blends Red Fig, Bergamot, Kumquot, Mandarin, Cyclamen, Currant, Cling Peach, Osmanthus, Violet Leaf, Rosewood, Teak, Vetiver and Black Amber."

(Note: I've seen Vetiver -- or Vetyver -- spelled a number of ways, but the distinctive scent is unmistakable)
